About Home Stuff Reviews

Home Stuff Reviews started with a simple frustration: most "best of" lists online read like they were written by someone who never used the product. We wanted a site that answers the questions real people ask before they buy something for the house, in plain English, and tells you the downsides too.

We cover seven areas: kitchen and cooking, appliances, tools, lawn and garden, furniture, cleaning, and heating and air. Alongside our product picks, we publish how-tos and buying guides that help whether you buy anything or not.

Who we are

The site is run by Chris Porter, who handles editing and the day-to-day running of things. Most of our reviews are written by two people:

How we make money

When you buy something through a link on our site, the store may pay us a small commission. That costs you nothing extra. Brands don't pay us for placement, and we don't accept payment to review a product. You can read the details in our affiliate disclosure and seehow we pick products.
